Hi

I have several formulas in different cells. I wanted to show the formula not the value so I thought of adding ' to =
I went to Home-->Find and replace--> = with '=
It did work

Then I wanted to do the reverse and replacing '= with = but I got error message saying could not find '=

Is that by design? Thank you very much

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Instead of 'use @

Or, in your Excel worksheet, go to the Formulas tab > Formula Auditing group and click the Show Formulas button.

Microsoft Excel displays formulas in cells instead of their results right away. To get the calculated values back, click the Show Formulas button again to toggle it off.

What you could do is enter this into an adjacent cell:

=FORMULATEXT(A1)

which in this case shows the formula in cell A1.
