Hi
Not sure how ask for the formula. If i have an area that 2.4m high and 0.6 wide whick equals 1.44m2 and I know that 0.6 wide requires 2 studs and 1 track plus 18 screws. Also that 2.4m and 1.2m2 wide equals 2.88m2 and this requires 3 studs, 1 track and 28 screws. Basically what I'm asking is if i type 4.66 into my cell how do i automatically get the return of required materials.
I understand ill have my reference sheet and table. Just need the formula for return on my main sheet within a table ill have.

Thanks

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Is the 4.66 an area measurement or one of the dimensions (which one)?
I'm assuming that you have a baseline of 1 stud and 1 track. And you add 1 stud every .6 m of width?
Are there any changes to the width spacing regarding height/area?
And I'm assuming once you go beyond the .6 m in width a new stud is needed... e.g. .7 m would require 2 studs?

Have you looked at the excel scenario manager and other what-if analysis tools?

Hi
Height wise we can go up to 3.6 meters mostly with stud. Track comes in 2.4 and can be cut.
What im trying to do is if, lets say i have a job that's 2.4m or 3m high and 8m long. ( 19.2m2 ) or ( 24m2 ) I would like to be able to those measurenents into my table resulting in it returning the amount of studs/track/plasterboard/screws required.

I haven't looked at the excel scenario manager.

Thanks

So, I'm guessing your length is 4.66m.
It sounds like the minimum you need is 2 studs,18 screws and 1 track.
So, after every .6m of length you need one more stud, and 10 screws.
After every 4 studs (4x.6 = 2.4) you need to acquire one more track (a 3m length will have a waste of 2m track).
You haven't mentioned plasterboard areas. But, you'd apply the same concept.

Every .6 of a meter requires a stud.
A board is 1.2 meters wide and 2.4 long.
So if i have lets say a measure of 2.4m high and 4.8m long (11.52m2) im trying to basically have a table that once i put in my height and lenght and ill have sum return for sq meter (ill have to do a drop down menu with different heights 2.4m, 3.0m, 3.6m) it will return the quantity i need of each item.
