I've somehow managed to make the little box that shows row & column index numbers disappear from my current view in Excel. My current version of Excel is 97 and my Operating System is Windows NT 2000.

A suggestion I was given to resolve this problem was to go to Tools, Options, View, Row & Column Headers. This did not work, unfortunately.

Can someone please advise me on how to restore this view as it makes writing vlookup formulas extremely difficult.

Thank you,

Rick

Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.

Rick,

Try making a list where you assign a number to every letter of the alphabet. Tack it up on your cubicle wall. You can quickly know how many columns over you went on your vlookup.

P.S. - My column indicator is working just fine. . .hee hee hee
