Restrict To Choose Item Only Once From Dropdown

Hello,

I know how to create a basic dropdown list. However, I'd like to create a dropdown list where an item in that list can be selected only once. Essentialy, I'd like to create a forced rank.

So, if the list options were Ford, Chevy, and Toyota, then:

if someone picks Chevy as the first entry; then
only Ford and Toyota would be selectable in the next choice and so on.
