I've seen many posts about retaining the pivot table formatting when pasting values to unlink it from the source. The paste special values does not work. I've tried using the clipboard to paste and it worked one time. In the same workbook attempting to copy and paste the values and formatting of other pivot tables does not work with subsequent attempts. It is so frustrating and illogical that the same sequence does not work. I tried clearing the clipboard and starting again.

Any ideas???

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
I normally select entire PivotTable then copy. I then paste special values in a new column followed by paste special formats to the same range of cells. You can then delete the table.
