I'm not getting any results... or FALSE... no matter how I write this. Can anyone help?

If Column A:A equals $B$1, If Column D:D contains "Battery", then give me the date from column S:S.

Thank you,
Sharon

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
How about
=IF(AND(A2=$B$1,D2="Battery"),S2,"")

Thank you, but I'm asking about columns, not cells. And CONTAINS Battery, not equals Battery. Will Excel do that? I tried your formula using columns and got errors

In that case I do not understand what you are trying to do.
Can you please re-explain what you are trying to do & also post some sample data.
