I have a pivot table that's based on data from a worksheet that I cannot access. I would like the data to be in "data table" (like a database table)form so that I can work with it more easily. Is there any way to print the pivotcache onto a worksheet? Or is there another way to return the data to its form before it became a pivot table?

Thanks,

Dave

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
You can double-click a summary cell in the pivot table in the data area to return the records that were used to create the summary. This creates a new worksheet in your workbook with that data in it.

If double clicking doesn't work, right-click a pivot table cell and select Table Options from the shortcut menu. You will need to enable the drill to details option.

If you double click the cell that contains the row and column total i.e. the bottom right cell of your pivot table doesn't that drill down to all of your data?

Dan--

Clicking on the bottom right cell of the pivot table certainly does drill down into all of the data! Thanks a lot!
