At our company everyone logs onto their computers (XP 2002 SP 3) with a unique userid.

I need Excel to record that userid into a cell in Excel where I can tailor the database query to SQL to customize/personalize the query and consequently the output within the spreadsheet.

How do I get the userid to be returned to a cell?

Thanks in advance

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
This can only be done with code..add this code to a new module.

Code:
Private Function UserName()
UserName = Environ("UserName")
End Function

use in cell as formula

=Username()
