Firstly, I would like to thank the various board admins, because they have been incredibly helpful with my minor excel dilemas.
The board admin helped me earlier with a VLOOKUP, I had forgotten how to properly use a VLOOKUP.
Anyway, I was wondering, how would you go about doing a reverse VLOOKUP.
For example, I have 2 lists. (L1 & L2)
List One is Names and phone #'s
List 2 is Names and Paymetn status
They look like this
List 1:
name: Phone:
Smith 555-0102
Jones 555-9811
Rodgers 555-8979
KIm 555-7875
Stanley 555-4513
List 2:
Name: Pay:
Smith Unpaid
York unpaid
Graves Paid
Rodgers Unpaid
Jones Paid
Kim Paid
Ok Know if I wanted to know which persons had phone #'s and weren't on the combine VLOOKUP list, (Stanley in the example). How would I go about doing that, some kind of Match Index string perhaps?
Also, If I wanted to create a list of who paid and doesn't have a phone # same question.
