Using Excel 2007 w/Win Vista Ultimate 64bit

When I right click on top bar to insert a column the Insert is greyed out.
When I right click on the left side bar to insert a row the Insert is greyed out.

I must have turned off the insert feature at some point.

If I go directly to a cell the insert feature works.

Could sure use help on this, cannot work with sheets as is.

I've ran the rounds of Google, and haven't found anything to fix.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
I just scrutinized the sheet carefully.

I have several columns where text is runnning past 255 characters in some of the rows. I understand you can have formulas that can extend to appx 32K so I would think text could do the same.

This is the only thing I can think of that is unique on this worksheet.

The copy/paste command has failed to work when I had to many tabs open in a the web browser when I was working with a website.

Yep! when I made sure no cell with text characters exceeded 255 characters.

Voila! it fixed the insert problem.
