I have strings of data that include names and addresses. A hyphen separates the name and address. I'm trying to use a combo Find and Right function to extract just the address portion but it doesn't seem to be working. The addresses do vary in terms of the number of numeric characters. I have an example listed below. I'm using Excel 2002.

Stone & Knott - 29819 Sun Will
Doufourt - 10014 Heron Mdws
Doufourt - 10014 Heron Mdws

=RIGHT(F4,FIND("-",F4)-1)

Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN

Why not try Data>Text to columns... with - as a delimiter?

How about:

=REPLACE(F4,1,FIND("-",F4)+1,"")
