Hi guys

I have a cell A1 that has a mixture of letters numbers and symbols
The only information I want from this cell are the letters at the beginning
Normally I would think about using =Left(A1,___) but the number of letters is variable. The one constant thing is that the letters I need always have 19 charachters after it.

Hope this makes some sort of sense

Cheers in advance

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
