Morning,

Wondering if someone can help

I would like to create list of roles (Team Manager, Senior Manager etc) for a business - there a number of the these roles throughout a large business

I have split the business areas up onto different tabs (so we might have a senior manager in HR (tab 1) and a senior manager in customer contact (tab 2)

Each role has a set of skills - 13 headings (R : AD) and then within the headings i have a drop down menu for the level they are at (e.g Business Acuman 'Advanced', Planning 'Expert')

I guess i would like a master sheet that holds all the role titles and their skills and you can amend the skills lists as you wish

If senior manager is on the master sheet with the skills it will automatically populate the other tabs where senior manager is listed

If you change the skill levels on the master sheet it changes all the roles on the correspionding sheets (so if i decide senior manager is actually Expert for Business Acumen i change it on the master sheet and it changes all the references in the workbook)

Hope that makes sense - look forward to suggestions/code etc!

THanks as ever!

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Code is probably an overcomplicated way of approaching this. There are too many variables, things that could change and would need error-handling etc

Suggest you use either VLOOKUP or INDEX(MATCH( to approach this. INDEX(MATCH(, coupled with named ranges, should be flexible, rugged, and simple enough to read for your purposes
