Hi Excel Pros!

I’m trying to make a bunch of rosters for Round Robins. The concept is:
  1. There will a different worksheet for 8 thru 24 players
  2. Everyone plays against or with each player at least once.
  3. Players rotate from rotate from North (green) to South (yellow) or vice-versa after each game.
  4. Rosters with 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 players have 6 games
  5. All other rosters will have players sitting out (BYE) one game, which is then made up in Game 7.
Is there anyway to do this via Excel formulas?

Many thanks!

The algorithm that I use for a general "everybody plays everybody" pairings is

Seat everyone at a table, everyone across from everyone else.
example:
A B C D
E F G H

after each round, one person (A) stays put, everyone else moves one chair over (to their left)

A E B C
F G H D

A F E B
G H D F

If you have an odd number of players, introduce a (bye) player.

This will get you a complete roster of who plays whom for each round. Distributing those among different courts is a different problem
