Hi
While I understand roundup() function and it does make the name is round up because it round by by 1 but what I found that the name of Rounddown() function does not make any sense. It does not change anything just "trim" the decimal numbers, if I say rounddown(A1,2) this function will keep only 2 decimals and trim/cut the reset. Am I right to say that function only trim decimals? Thank you very much

It depends on what you want to ROUNDDOWN to.
If you want to roundown to the nearest whole number, you would use

Excel Formula:
=ROUNDDOWN(A1,0)
Have a look here for all the scenarios of the ROUNDDOWN function

Rounddown() function does not make any sense.
To me it makes perfect sense.
Using your examples ..
ROUNDUP(..., 2) returns the closest 2-decimal place number that is greater than or equal to the original number
ROUNDDOWN(..., 2) returns the closest 2-decimal place number that is less than or equal to the original number
