In a worksheet where the rows are wider than one line, is it possible align the row numbers at the top of the row instead of the bottom?

Yes. If you right-click the row, and select "Format Cells..." there is an "alignment" tab in which you can pick a vertical alignment, top, center, or bottom.

It's the actual row numbers themselves that I would like to get to the top of the row. Not just the data.
