When I select a row and drag down to select multiple rows, excel stops highlighting rows at the last row that has data and stays there until I drag extremely low on the screen. This is annoying.
How can I change a setting so that I can continue uninterrupted with no pause?

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
I don't think it's possible, but if you know what rows you want, you can use the Go To option.

Press CTRL-G and when the window pops up, type =50:10000 which will select those rows. You can also use visual basic macros if so inclined. Though that's not specifically what you asked, maybe it will at least help.
