I know there is a simple statement that would return the number of rows in a range when the activecell is somewhere in that range. Can someone help me out?

Thanks

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Selection.Rows.Count will do it.

You need to have a specific range selected.

Is that what you're looking for?

Hi Dexter,

Or do you need this?

Sub test()
Dim isect As Range
Set isect = Application.Intersect(ActiveCell, Range("a1", "A15"))
If Not isect Is Nothing Then
numrows = Range("a1", "A15").Rows.count
End If
End Sub

Guys,
Thanks for the help. That's what I needed. Had a mental-block over the rows.count. I will combine with the CurrentRegion property to complete my needed code.
