Rows to Columns; a noob in distress

I'm currently doing some organizing for a gentleman who has various Word documents of addresses in the format

Name
Address
Address
State
Country

with absolutely no logic or formatting (no table, no method, nothing. Some addresses are long, some are short... a filing nightmare). I'm dropping them into Excel to organize them, and have manually moved them into rows, and am currently manually trying to get all similar fields into the same row, basically landing me with something like this

Name Name Name Name Name Name
Address Address Address Address Address
Address Address Address Address
State State State State State
Country Country Country Country Country

Hopefully you get the picture.

Anyway, what I'm hoping to do is to get all similar fields into the same column, so that rather than the entries being top to bottom they are side by side (so that I can then use text to columns to begin separating some of the fields which are merged), but I have no idea how to do this. Any hope?

Cheers

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).

Select the area that you want to convert into columns from row.
Edit - COPY and Edit - PASTE SPECIAL and check "Values" and "Transpose" options
Click ok to paste
