Hi I'm currently working on a document and have run into a problem. So I want certian rows to appear on each page like a header but not a header. I know that the way you do this is go to:
page set up -> Sheet -> Print Titles -> Rows on top -> and then you select the rows you want to appear
So I did that with eg.
Department: Wyomming
Managar: Yeti

BUT I want anthoer row to only appear on pages 1-3 and then another on pages 4-5 etc
eg Page 1-3 looks like
Department: Wyomming
Managar: Yeti
Employee: Sass

and Page 4-5
Department: Wyomming
Managar: Yeti
Employee: Merival

Does anyone have any idea how to do that?

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
Here's a simple approach.

Set-up your worksheet as in the example below
Then use the recorder to create your print Macro
Note: I would set all other print options in advance: orientation, margins, titles (i.e. Rows 1 & 2), etc.

In your Macro (via the recorder):

  • Hide Rows 4,5, & 6
  • Set the print range for Pages 1-3
  • Print
  • Display Hidden Rows 4,5 & 6
  • Hide Rows 3,5, & 6
  • Set the print range for Pages 4-5
  • Print

Repeat this pattern for all employees and their associated print ranges / pages

At the end you can choose to display (unhide) all rows with employee names or keep them hidden

Remember to click on Stop Recording
And now you have a Macro to print your report in your desired format.

Here's the example:

Sheet1
ABCDEF
1Department: Wyomming
2Managar: Yeti
3Employee: Sass
4Employee: Merival
5Employee: Percival
6Employee: Arthur
