Run time error '1004' Document not saved.

Hello All,

I am experiencing a problem with excel 2010. When trying to save a document, be it through vba or simply file>save as or even simply just save i recieive this error. However, when i run through excel 2007 or even resaving it as a .xls file in excel 2010 it runs fine.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

you may have some code causing this in the thisworkbook code module, it will either be in the Before_Save event or Workbooks_Close event....etc

A simple test open an xl2010 and set macro security to high and then close, now open your offending workbook , don't allow macro's and see if you can save it without fault.

You can only get the error if running code or maybe your installation is corrupt.

well I commented out all the code I was using for before_save before_close all that stuff and it still didn't work via normal saving from the menu... and this is only happening on this workbook. asides from this, its fine.. I honestly don't think it is a corrupted installation.
