We have an excel spreadsheet that we want to use on multiple computers. Is there a way to set the Active.Printer string with wildcards for the port number. The reason being that when we try to use this spreadsheet on a second or third pc we get the run-time error because the port number is different on this pc for the printer that we want to use.

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Hi, welcome to the board!

Not sure, but I am curious how you set the active printer via port number. This could come in quite handy.

I tried this and never was sucessful, I am assuming that you are speaking of trying to print to one particular printer on a network rather then just the default printer assigned to a workstation.

I believe you can however trigger the requester box for printers and then select the one desired.
