hi,

trying to get a if and / then statement to run

the concept is it checks sheet 1 for the day and if a specific tab is active it will then call a sub.
for some reason it's not workign and i cant figure out why. can anyone help?

Code:
If Worksheets(1).Range("C40").Value = "Friday" And Active.Worksheets("31") Then
Call Button5
Else
If Range("C39").Value = "Friday" And ActiveSheet = "30" Then
Call Button5
Else

this code repeats 5 times. to go to 27 but if i can sort out this obv that will be the same :)

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Should it be

Code:
If Worksheets(1).Range("C40").Value = "Friday" And ActiveSheet.Name = "31" Then
    Call Button5
ElseIf Range("C39").Value = "Friday" And ActiveSheet.Name = "30" Then
    Call Button5
Else
