Runtime Duplicate Record Validation

I am going to create an event on text-field that check the record in the table if record already exist in table, a message should be displayed at runtime.

Pls help me out to resolve my above problem.

In the design of the table, index the field and prevent duplicates. You can also provide the text you want to appear to announce that the value that was just entered is a duplicate. The check for the duplication won't appear until moving to a new record.
