Runtime error 2004 for some users

I created a macro with hidden sheets, etc. The basic premise is that there are nine people and each person can only see their worksheet based on their entered password. After creation and testing on my computer, I sent it out. For some people it works fine, for others, they receive the a runtime error code 2004, "this operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized".

Any reason for this? I created the macro in Excel 2007 but saved it as Excel 97-2003.

Thanks in advance. I apolgize if this information is out there somewhere, I did some searches but couldn't find anything.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

Hi,

Is there any copying / pastespecial going on? Perhaps only some of the users get this error because only some of their sheets have mergearea size mismatches?

There is some copying/paste special, you mention that only some users may have merge cell issues, what could cause that?

All the spreadsheets for each person are identical so I would think if one person had the error, all should.

I removed all merged cells from the file and a user is still getting the error.

Is there any code I could use to eliminate this error?

Thanks.

Re: Runtime error 2004 for some users - Problem resolved

Getting rid of all merged cells solved my problems. Thanks.
