Salesforce Encryption Issues

Salesforce moved to TLS 1.1 but apparently Excel 2016 (64 bit) did not? It's causing an issue when I try to connect via Data>New Query>From Other Sources>From Salesforce Objects. Excel tells me that salesforce.com does not exist. My company's head tech guy deactivated the TLS 1.1 in Salesforce and it worked just fine - but it will have to "upgrade" eventually.

Anyone else know of this issue? Any possible solutions?

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
