I have a file which is read only
I have set the file to refresh on open.

What I would like to do - if possible is
  1. Refresh on open - this appears to work even though the file is read only
  2. Save - the read only needs to be toggled off???
  3. Reset to read only.

is this possible in VBA

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Why not directly save the readonly file using .SaveAs? This way you don't have to "toggle" it. And if you want to overwrite the original file then do not open it as readonly?

VBA Code:
Set wb = Workbooks.Open(Filename:="C:\SomeWorkbook.xlsx", ReadOnly:=False, IgnoreReadOnlyRecommended:=True)
