I am trying to save a file over an older file with the same name. Everytime I get to that part in the macro, I get prompted by excel whether I want to save over the other file. My answers is always YES. is there a way for excel VB to choose YES for me. Thanks in advance

Using a mouse in Excel is the work equivalent of wearing a lanyard when you first get to college
Application.DisplayAlerts = False will suppress that message.

Just set it back to True at the end.
