Some excel files give me a problem saving as a PDF file, especially longer named files, it just does not convert them to PDF no errors/warnings. I can have a file that I want to save to PDF as xxx; xxxx; 2009(10).pdf and it will not save, but it might save as simply 1234.pdf. As far as I can tell the length of file/directory does not effect the function because I have similar file name/directory lengths. Is there a limits on a file names length, directory length or how far a file is down in a sub-directory tree?

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
look here Microsoft Office Package File Name Length Limitation for the path limitations as far as I know it hasn't been changed till now for the OS versions

we faced those on 2003/2008 Server/Win XP/Win7/....

I've remember there is a reg tweak but its not recommended to change the limitations as it might be to much trouble at the end
