save data from a linked chart

Hi there - and thanks in advance for any help :)

I have received a number of files which contain charts - where the chart objects are linked to external data sources - I don't have the external linked sources and am looking for a way to extract the data that is in the charts without it. They are being displayed so clearly Excel knows what the data is - I just cannot seem to get at it...

Help?
