Hi
I opened a new workbook and wrote the code below in a module and tried to run it but got run time error telling me I need to change the extension? any help would be appreciated thank you.
Code:
Sub wk_save()
    Application.DisplayAlerts = False
    Workbooks(1).SaveAs Filename:="hello.xlsm"
    Application.DisplayAlerts = True
End Sub

Excel Facts

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Just adding this finding. I went to excel and saveAs the file to book1.xlsm
and then went back to VBA and ran the code above and this time did not give me an error message and the file name changed to hello.xlsm.
Why is that? Thank you.
