Hi

I have tried to save my excel spreadsheet as a csv file, however, in the columns where I have very long numbers there is a problem when it converts to csv its truncated to the exponent.

ie in Excel
1234567891234670

becomes
in CSV
1.23457E+15

I have tried formatting it in the CSV file but thats not working

Is there a way around this?

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
It works OK for me. How is your number in Excel formatted?

How are you looking at the CSV file ( which application are you using )?

What do you mean you tried formatting it in the CSV - in which application?

Hi again

I have been opening the csv file in Excel and trying to format the numbers as numbers but it doesn't work.
Also the numbers in Excel pre saving the file as CSV, are in Number format with no decimal places.
