I have some reports that i need to pdf and then distribute. Is there a bit of code that can help me with the naming of the files? it is just manual right now, and that defeats the purpose really. Each file will be named based on the sheet (province names, ONT, NB, NS, SK, MP) name and the current date.

I've worked through the printing a PDF macro (not rocket science) but the naming is a little trickier (it's computer science).

Any suggestions for ways to do this?

Thanks very much,
Rob

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
File save name example: NS06102008
NS province, 06102008 date (or any other applicable formatting).
Code looks like (so far):

MAKEpdfNS Macro
' Macro recorded 06/06/2008 by Rob Young of TDBFG
'

'
Application.Dialogs(xlDialogPrinterSetup).Show
Application.ActivePrinter = "Adobe PDF on Ne01:"
Selection.PrintOut Copies:=1, ActivePrinter:="Adobe PDF on Ne01:", Collate _
:=True
End Sub

please help!
Rob
