What im having trouble with is: i have 2 excel files and they both are saved a macro enabled worksheet (Xlsm) and one asks me if i want to save the file every time i open it even if i dont make any changes and they other one doesnt ask me if i want to save at all, like the other one i didnt make any changes at all. if i make changes in either they ask me if i want to save file. i have already looked for external links for both files. I dont understand why one asks and other doesnt ask to save.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Have a look at the macro code. Alt-F11 to see the code.

In the workbook which always asks to be saved, code may be making changes may be made in the workboo, which you cannot see.

In the workbook, which doesn't ask to be saved, look for some code in the workbook which starts Workbook_Close and see if there is any code in it which has me.saved=true or workbook.save

If you have a volatile functions in the workbook, then you usually get asked to save the file.
