Scatter chart with selectable series

I have a scatter chart that plots several data series. I would like to selectively choose which series are visible - similar to the way PivotCharts can select data for plotting.

I could create CheckBoxes for each data series, but this seems labor intensive if I have 15 data series. Is there another way to pick and choose which data is visible?
