If I insert a scatter plot, it will leave a gap for any empty cells. But if I insert that same data as an area plot and then convert it to a scatter plot, it will not leave a gap and I cannot figure out any way to change that.
This came up because I am working on a combo chart that has 10 data columns. The first 2 columns will be used for scatter plots. The rest for stacked area plots, which are used to show horizontal bands. It is easier for me to insert the chart as a stacked area plot and then change the two scatter plot. I guess I can start with scatter plots and convert the area plots or start with a combo plot or start with area plots for just that data and then add the scatter plots. But this seems like a bug.
