Hi,

I have created around 10 files (and likely to be extended), where i have used a power query to consolidated a number of files by Insurer into one of the ten files.

These files will be saved into a sharepoint.

I am looking for a solution to Schedule the refresh of each of the queries within the 10 files.

Does anyone know of an effective solution.

Thanks
Michael

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
If you select a cell in the data table area and then on the data tab click on the drop down arrow on the 'refresh All' button you can edit the Connection Properties which includes an option to refresh at set intervals (between 1 and 999 minute intervals) - is this what you mean?

Hi StuLux,

Thank you so much for your response. No i don't think so.

For the connection properties to work doesn't the file have to be open? So I would need to open all 10 workbooks to refresh wouldn't I?

Thank you
Michael

Yes the workbooks would need to be open, I don't think there is a way for data to be refreshed in a closed workbook, you could consider a standalone workbook with VBA to open, refresh and close the workbooks automatically to save the tedium of opening all 10 books?

Hi StuLux,

I suspect this would be the case.

Thank you for all your help.

Thanks
