I’m having difficulties that are new to me. I think I have to explain what I’m doing so that hopefully you guys and gals can nudge me in the correct course of action. I created a pretty big random number generator game. It has 882 teams (7 main divisions broke down into 49 sub-divisions of 18 teams each). The fun part is trying to gather and organize all the stats this game generates. Well everything was going along great when it occur to me that there was a couple more pieces of stats I’d like to add to the data base.

Created a new workbook and started entering the data, it was going so good I decided to do it by marco. Was able to enter the data from Jan 01 to Jun 14 game, (season is for one day). So my goal was to overview 358 completions of a season. However when I got to Jun 15 I got an error messages saying the file path is wrong. So I re-opened the Jun 15 document and tried to enter the data by = then click on the cell I needed in the Jun 15 doc and got the same error message. Closed everything restarted computer and it wouldn’t let add the data.
So I opened the template and ran the game again. When the game finished I was able to enter the data on the new workbook. So I tried to copy those entries in a past game and change the date and it still wouldn’t do it.
The only strange thing that happens is about after every 5 games I’ll enter the data into the other books I have never had an issue. Same times the Find and Replace involves as many as 26,000 entries changes on one page. However when I re-open the daily game documents excel gives me an error message about sorting I click close and the documents opens as “repaired”. “repaired” happens everytime I re-open a game document but it hasn’t affected entering data into the other 260 workbook of my stats just my new one.
The repair thing has to do with trouble excel has on sorting on 8 pages, Only 2 of the 8 pages have any kind of sorting on them and I don’t see what if any data is different or after I get the above reference error messages.
This is one of the formula entries for Jun 14 that worked
=’C:\Users\David\Documents\1 Mass Champ\NY Daily Champ\[NY Champ Jun 14 2014.xlsm]Final Rankings’!$F$6
I copied this formula down it fills the cell when I try Find and Replace Jun 14 into Jun 15, I get the path error message. If I open Jun 15 and try direct entry I get that path error messages.

The new work-bookhas about 15 pages in it only the one page is giving me an issue. I save all my doc as xlsm. I’m lost on a solution.

Thanks,
David
