I was working on a very detailed Excel budget spreadsheet. I was moving the cursor and my finger slipped and I must have activated a menu button by accident. The entire spreadsheet is now grey and looks like it is hung up waiting for a response. The menu options are opaque. When I click on an area in the menu they become bright again but the customize box opens. When I try to close it the menus become opaque again. How can I find out what Excel is trying to do. When this happened I panicked and saved the file which of course overwrote my previous version of the file.

Please help.
