Re: Search and copy data across to new sheet

=VLOOKUP($A$2:$A$30,Sheet2!$A$2:$D$30,2)

$A$2:$A$30 = 1 column data you want to look up

Sheet2!$A$2:$D$30 = all columns in your table

2 = column you want to pull

Hi PJones1,

Thank you for your help.

I had to modify your formula slightly to get it working on my test spreadsheet(the one you saw on the video).

However - when i applied that formula to the live data it gives the error "#N/A" even though the data being searched is in sheet1

This sis the formula I used =VLOOKUP($A2,Sheet1!$A$2:$D$54,COLUMN(B2),FALSE)
this worked in the test data but failed to work in the live data
(by the wat the field I'm searching on is a list of email addresses)

When I changed the formula to =VLOOKUP($A2,Sheet1!$A$2:$D$54,COLUMN(B2),TRUE)
I had to sort sheet1 in alphabetical order but since this is a close match
still lose out in data integrity.

Any ideas how I can get to used the "FALSE" argument and it return the values i need?
