Search function with protected sheet

Hello All,
For some reason I was not able to use the search function on my worksheet/workbook although the sheet is being protected. But if I unprotect the sheet then it works.

What exactly do you want help on? As you have observed, if you unprotect the sheet the find capability is enabled.

if your sheet is protected and you still want to use the CTRL+F search function when you protect your sheet make sure you check the box for []Select protected cells. then you can search the sheet

if you are not given an option then try ALT+P,P rather than the tab at the top of the sheet and you should see the check boxes. ~DR
