Hello All...

Lookup value: 1B-22A-1555

When I use V-lookup or Index Match, the formula returns an N/A. However, when I remove the “1” in front of the “B”, V-lookup and Index Match returns the correct data, the formula, I believe keys on the “1555”.
So, Is it possible to have a V-lookup or IndexMatch search from right to left, instead of left to right, with an Approximate Match option?

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Not without first reversing the Text in both the Lookup Value and Lookup Range.
However, using approximate match I would be suspicious of in this type of value.
If you are using exact match and not getting results, then I would look at the data first.
Watch out for non printing characters, especially the "non-breaking space" character. CLEAN & TRIM your text values and replace or remove all CODE(160) characters (replace with space before TRIM.)

What is the exact formula that you use?

And what do you want to look for exacly if it's not 1B-22A-1555?
