Hi all,
I'm looking to so how I can run a search using two worksheets. The first worksheet is my master sheet. The second worksheet is data in which I am trying to see if it is listed on the master sheet.

For example on the master worksheet I have a list of names, addresses and zip codes. On the other spreadsheet I have columns of zips codes in which I want to see if they are listed on the master.

How would I go about a search or query?

Thank you,
Jen

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
I would consider using Conditional Formatting.
For the Master worksheet, I would select all the zip codes and give the range a 'name' (e.g. "ZipCodes" without a space).
On the other worksheet I would apply Conditional Formatting to the cells containing the zip codes. For example, assuming that the zip codes are in Column A starting in Row 2, the conditional formatting for cell A2 would be something like:
=COUNTIF(ZipCodes,A2)>0
and then I would apply the formatting as Bold with Green fill.
Of course, if you wanted to do it differently, that formula (or a variation) could be used in a cell so that you could total the counts etc.
