Search sheet for specific values

just wondering if anybody could help me.
I need to run a check to see if a value that somebody enters into a specific cell is also on another sheet

could you please give a little more details on this? Are you looking for a macro to do this? Where would the data be entered and where would you search? etc.

Here's the basic rundown

I have a validation list for products on a worksheet, but occasionally some of the products will be on special. In this case, they will be entered into a different Worksheet with the 'special' cost and price.
I have a checkbox which alternates the prices on the first page with the 'special' price on the other page on check and uncheck (provided there is a 'special' product written in).

I need the check box to also check whether the product selected is actually on special (if it is on the other page)
