Hi, I have created a dynamic searchable drop down list with around 1600 names and it's working perfect except for one thing. I have 2 names in the list "Rajesh" and "Rajesh Shah". Only one name appears in the drop down list when I type "rajesh". What could be the problem,?

This should be
=OFFSET(H2,,,COUNTIF(Sheet1!$H:$H,"*?"),1)
or
=OFFSET(H2,,,COUNTIF(Sheet1!$H$2:$H$1472,"*?"))

Excel Facts

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
Try to change this formula:

=OFFSET(H2,,,COUNTIF($H$2:$H$1472,"?*"))
to this
=OFFSET(H2,,,COUNTIF(Sheet1!$H$2:$H$1472,"*?"),1)
Change Sheet1 with name of the sheet
=OFFSET(H2,,,COUNTIF(DD list!$H$2:$H$1472,"?*"),1)
I am getting a #Name? Error

I think something wrong with the search function. It is not calculating the max function properly. It should show 1,2,3,4,5,6 and instead it is showing 1,1,2,2,3,3,. Can you help me with this

Hi Tom Jones, Problem solved. Thanks for replying.
Answer - =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(CELL("contents"),F3)),MAX($E$2:E2)+1,0)

Helper column in the table like this, =ISNUMBER(SEARCH($F$1,[@Name]))

Once again this is just a quick way to limit the items shown. The search box in the middle picture offers a similar function.
