Hi, I am an excel novice and I wish to add a "last Updated" date and time in cell A2 of sheet 1. How can I achieve this, can anyone assist?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Hi
do you mean the present date and time?
=today() would return the day, month and year
=now() would return in addition to first formula the time in hour and minutes.

Thanks for coming back to me. The exact issue I have is I need to be able to retain the date the sheet was changed. In other words if I opened and changed some data / detail today and saved it I need the sheet to retain the changes until the next time it is changed / saved. i need to be able to do this for auditing purposes.
