i am trying to copy an entire spreadsheet's formulas, formatting, etc., everything but the current values that are in each cell, into a new spreadsheet for the new quarter. but everytime i go to copy and paste special and select to paste only formulas, it still pastes, the old values. can anyone help!?!

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
I'm assuming you have selected ALL CELLS then
Copy > Pastesspecial > Formulas ?

OK, after this select

Edit > Goto > Special
Select Constants then Press OK
Now hit delete Key

consider copying the whole sheet in it's entirety by using the menu available when you right clicking on its tab. Then highlight the relevent sections and use control G - special constants to isolate your constants and hit delete.
