Select items from Multiple Page Fields

I am using Excel2003 and the data Source is OLAP. I have built a pivot table using Analysis Manager Cube.

The cube has 7 Measures and 10 Dimensions with more than 50000 rows. I built the pivot by having four dimensions in the page field , three dimensions in row area and 4 measures in data area. when I select a particular value from page field, the pivot table runs a olap query for 10 Secs and builds the pivot table which is good.

But the problem come when I have to select four items from four page fields for which every time the pivot table runs a query, i.e., totally 40 secs to build a query.

My question: Is there any way to stop building pivot table when I select items from page fields (I tried PT.ManualUpdate but it was not helpful) so that I can insert a push button to refresh the pivottable and my query will be taking only 10 Secs.

Any help regarding this.

Thanks in Advance

Hi, I don't think you are in luck.

This link... contains the following statement:
An OLAP server returns new data to Excel every time you change the view or layout of the PivotTable or PivotChart report. When you use non-OLAP source data, the data is refreshed differently, and various refresh options are available in the PivotTable Options dialog box.
