Trying to figure out how Excel determines which cell to make active when a previously saved workbook is opened. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
The cell or cells that were selected when the workbook was saved will be selected when the workbook is opened. Or, with vba, a specific cell can be made to be selected when th workbook is opened.

little more information

I have an Excel workbook that, when reopened, shows the cell that was active when the workbook was last saved and then in a flash re-positions back to cell A1. There is no code associated with this file so I'm not sure what might be causing it. Thanks again to all.
