I have a pivot table with fields in the 'row' column' and 'data' areas. When I hover just to the left of a subtotal row in the row area the mouse pointer turns into a little arrow pointing left. If I click the mouse then I can highlight he subtotal within the pivot table and change the format e.g. to bold. This format is then saved with the pivot table.

However my colleague, using the same pivot table, is not able to use the little arrow to select the subtotal. What's the deal. I cannot find anything anywhere in Tools> Options or Tools>Customize menus to change anythign to control this.

Any suggestions?

Thx, Lloyd
